Does Wahanowin have a religious affiliation?

Wahanowin celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Culturally, we uphold several Jewish traditions at camp including blessings before meals, Friday night Shabbat meal and secular-themed service and supporting Jewish volunteer/philanthropic organizations.

How does laundry work?

Each camper gets an individual bag for their laundry. It is sent out once per week. Clothing, bedding and towels get washed and folded and returned the next day in the same bag, so clean laundry can be easily organized and put away.

How is the food?

Food is a big deal at Wahanowin. We have a strong culinary culture at camp, dating back to Bubbie Nash’s famous recipes. Chef Adam keeps us fed with delicious and nutritious meals that cater to all dietary needs. Learn more about our food program here.

What happens at camp on rainy days?

Rain never stops us! We take advantage of cozier days at camp with rainy day programs, mud soccer and indoor cabin programming in the event of extreme weather.

When do campers get free time?

Campers do get scheduled free time during the day including rest hour, after lunch, general swim, before dinner and free play after dinner.

What types of activities do you offer?

We offer more than 25 activities, ranging from water activities and racquet/team sports to art, dance and drama. Visit our activites page to learn more.
