Camp Wahanowin is proud to share that we have been working collaboratively with our community in a process to ensure our continued commitment to provide a thriving camp environment for our campers and staff.
Inspired by global movements for justice, equity, diversity and inclusion; reflective of our intention to better understand these issues as they relate to our camp; and born from our commitment to create a safe, nurturing and healthy environment, we are fully engaged in a journey designed to make us even better!

A cycle of continuous improvement was designed and is constantly in motion to annually review all practices to support our sustained commitment to growth. Together with our Wahanowin community- including campers, staff, alumni and parents, along with our leadership team- we actively work to enhance our policies (i.e. Camp Wahanowin Gender Policy), training, resources, engagement and communications designed to support staff and campers and to ensure we are living our values. Our process is designed to be transparent and inclusive, so that everyone is aware of the steps being taken to achieve our shared goals.
