Camp Wahanowin respects the privacy of our clients, campers and their families and staff.
The personal information required in our application and other forms is stored in locked offices and/or on a secure database. Only those staff who require the information – those who are directly involved in providing a service to an individual camper – have access to it.
When sharing any information with an outside service provider or individual employed by Camp Wahanowin (such as the bus company), we ensure that they have a privacy policy that restricts them from using information for any purpose other than that for which they were hired.
We may use the information we have gathered for statistical analysis of our camp, to help us to develop future programs. As well, we retain information to allow us to communicate with you about Wahanowin’s programs and events.
We may release your camper’s name and contact information to another camp family who wishes to use it for the purposes of inviting your camper to a social occasion.
Choosing not to accept our privacy policy or not providing personal information may jeopardize the care and safety we can provide to your camper and we will need to discuss the status of your application.
Should you have any questions or concerns about our privacy policy, please contact Bruce Nashman, Camp Director.
