Campers to the core
We met at camp, and camp became the inspiration for our friendship. We had different camp journeys, but we shared one fundamental thing in common that never wavered. We both knew camp was our calling. We have always worked with kids in both camp and sports/recreation settings. Now, we’ve made our individual camp dreams come true together. As owners and directors of Wahanowin, it is our mission to create a love for camp in every kid that comes here by giving them a safe, accepting, positive and energizing space to dare, dream, thrive and shine.
Hi, I’m Elijah Geller
Director/Owner
Camp has always been my life’s dream. Now my life’s work is to make sure that Wahanowin is and remains the place to be. I want every kid that spends their summers here to love and live for camp. I want them to have the confidence and freedom to be the best, biggest and boldest versions of themselves. As a kid and staff member, camp was so formative for me. It shaped the person I am. I found my people that decades later are still my people. And every time I make that left turn off Rama Road, I get that feeling. I am where I belong. That is my personal commitment to every camper, parent, staff member and alumni. Wahanowin will always be a place where you can belong.

Hi, I’m Tia Wintre
Director/Owner
What I’ve always loved about camp is the possibilities. You come to this beautiful place, in nature, on the water, with fun activities, amazing people and great programs. But you create the magic. You build the relationships. You get out of the experience what you put into it. The space, the structure, the opportunities. They’re all here. But it’s how you do camp that creates your love for camp. I have dedicated my life to helping kids develop into the best versions of themselves. I want the things we cherish at Wahanowin - our values, commitment to accountability, strong community, positivity and passion - to inspire kids to embrace themselves and their worlds with confidence, respect, care and compassion.
