Something for everyone

Since 1955, Wahanowin has always been known for its delicious food. It started with Bubby Nash and her famous recipes and continues today with Chef Adam and his amazing kitchen and pantry staff. From legendary meals like pizza lunch on a Saturday and Sunday sleep-in brunch to new faves like pesto cheese rotini pasta and the turkey bacon BLT, our food is nutritious, delicious and filling to fuel busy, activity-filled days at camp.

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in the dining hall, as well as a morning and evening snack. Fruit is available throughout the day. At every meal, campers also have the option of visiting the salad bar, where they can put together their own meal with choices of different soups, lettuces, vegetables, grains, beans, proteins, cheeses and dressings.

Food Senstitivites & Allergies

We want every camper that comes to Wahanowin to feel safe eating here. We maintain a sesame and peanut-safe environment. Campers with specific sensitivities (such as celiac, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance) are accommodated at every meal with nourishing options that are healthy for them.

Preferred Diets

We never want someone’s Wahanowin experience to be limited based on food. Camp is an inclusive space, which means respecting campers’ religious, philosophical or lifestyle choices around food. We make special accommodations for campers that are kosher, vegetarian, vegan, dairy free or gluten free, so they can enjoy nourishing food that respects their individual food choices.

  • “The kitchen staff at Camp Wahanowin have gone above and beyond to ensure that I feel safe at every meal with my food allergies. Chef knows what each ingredient is and what allergens each ingredient ‘may contain’. I have always felt like my allergies were taken seriously, and that they took extra special care of my food to avoid cross contamination.”

  • “I love Sunday Funday Brunch! Not only do we get to sleep in but there are always amazing berries and mini donuts. Then there is always a special feature like the Smoothie Bar or Waffle Bar with whip cream, chocolate and strawberries. Sometimes there is even ice cream!”
