WE HOPE YOU WILL JOIN US AT WAHANOWIN LATER THIS SUMMER AT THE LAST RESORT! 

Upon booking and prior to your arrival you will receive a welcome package with everything you need to know to prepare for your vacation.  In the meantime, here is some additional information about the experience:

1. What do I need to bring?
2. What Time is Check in?  Check out?
3. Can I book multiple cabins/group bookings?
4. Can two families share a cabin?  Can my child bring a friend?
5. If we have family or friends attending the same week, can they be in a cabin nearby?
6. Can I bring my dog?
7. What activities will be offered?

1. What do I need to bring?

  • You should bring bedding (double bed, single bedding for each child), towels, toiletries and enough clothing to last the week
  • We provide all of the necessary equipment to participate in every activity, but you are welcome to bring your own fishing rods, tennis racquets and sports equipment if desired

2. What Time is Check-in?  Check-out?

  • Check-in is 3:00pm and check-out is 2:00pm after lunch

3. Can I book multiple cabins/group bookings?

  • Subject to availability, there is no limit to the number of cabins you can book

4. Can two families share a cabin?  Can my child bring a friend?

  • Yes, two families can share one cabin as long as the maximum number for both families is 8 or less
  • Yes, a friend of the family can join your family as long as the total number in the cabin is 8 or less

5. If we have family or friends attending the same week, can they be in a cabin nearby?

  • Yes! You can indicate who you would like to be near to in the comments section of the booking form

6. Can I bring my dog?

  • You are welcome to bring your dogs with you to camp
  • Must be leashed at all times, except for marked “off leash” area
  • Not permitted in dining areas due to public health standards
  • You must clean up and properly dispose of all waste

7. What activities will be offered?

  • All of them!
  • Non-staff led activities will be available at all times – basketball, beach volleyball, gaga, hiking, lounging on the beach, soccer field and tetherball
  • Waterfront including canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, swimming and pontoon boat rides will be open throughout the day
  • Waterskiing and tubing will be available to guests on a sign up basis
  • Archery, Camp Crafts, Fishing, High Ropes, Tennis, Trapeze and the Zip Line will be scheduled throughout the week and highlighted in the daily Last Resort itinerary

8. How will meals be served?

  • Meals will be served family style
  • A table will be assigned in our dining hall for the duration of your stay
  • Physical distancing signage will be in place (as necessary)
  • We can tailor menus to accommodate allergies, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free diets (a kosher option is available at an additional cost)
  • Our site is peanut and nut safe

9. Can I bring snacks into camp?  What about alcohol?

  • There are several staff on site plus potentially other guests with life-threatening allergies. We ask that any food that is brought into camp does not contain peanuts and/or tree nuts. Our tuck shop will be stocked with lots of snacks and candies available to you on a daily basis
  • You may bring beverages to camp – every cabin will be equipped with a mini fridge
  • Alcohol is permitted but only to be enjoyed responsibly in your cabin or cabin area

10. Is there WiFi?

  • Limited availability in a specific location to check emails or work (if you must)
  • Not available in cabins or for streaming

11. What is included in the fee? 

  • Accommodations
  • 3 meals daily, special snacks
  • Regular activities as shown above
  • Theme days, evening programming
  • Tuck Shop – stocked with treats, ice cream, beverages, Waha wear (for purchase)
  • Sunset boat cruise

12. What COVID precautions will be in place?

  • All aspects of the Resort operations will be within the framework mandated at the time by the Province of Ontario and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit
  • Pre-arrival and arrival screening procedures
  • Enhanced cleaning prior to your arrival and ongoing
  • Social distanced dining and activities
  • Sanitizer at every activity area for hands and equipment
  • Masks should be worn in indoor public spaces (if mandated by Simcoe/Muskoka Public Health)

13. Can we leave site to go shopping or out to eat in town?

  • Everything you need for your stay should be brought with you, is included in your vacation package
  • You are discouraged from leaving camp during your stay

14. What is the cancellation policy?  What is your COVID-related cancellation policy?

  • Cancellations more than 14 days prior to arrival date – full refund of fees less deposit
  • Cancellations within 14 days of arrival date – no refund
  • Cancellations due to positive COVID test within 14 days of your arrival – full refund less $100 administrative fee
  • Cancellation due to closure by Public Health or the Government of Ontario – full refund of fees
