David Keystone
DJ “Diamond” Dave Keystone

Position: Head of Radio, Head of Activity Areas & Camp-wide Programs

Educational Status:
Currently, David is the Marketing Director for Magen Boys Entertainment, where he has been producing and emceeing private events for the past eight years. Between productions, parties, and work, David enjoys being a singer-songwriter, humorist, Rubik’s cube master, and origami sensei.  David received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design

Previous Camp Experience:
The summer of 2009 will be David’s 24th summer attending summer camp.  His illustrious camping career began in 1985, when his mother packed five kids in her duffle bag and took a position as camp doctor at Camp Timberlane. Once David was old enough to spread his wings he became a part of many camp families, including: Tamarack, Tamakwa and Walden.  It was with great pleasure, in 1995, that David brought his years of camping experience and wisdom to the shores of Lake Couchiching to join the Wahanowin family!

Favourite Camp Memory/Why you chose Wahanowin:
David’s primary position at camp has always been head of Camp Radio, 98.5 WAMB FM! David is one of two, three time WSBL Championship holders, along-side arguably the best player to have ever been drafted in to the WSBL, Daniel Freiman. At the end of his first summer in 2005, David was given the Head Staff Award for Spirit of the Year. In 2006, his peers voted him Flag Pole Entertainer of the year and he was given the Broken Record Award for his incredibly repetitious but always humorous dining hall announcements.  David’s 2008 single, Gotta’ Clean-up, is one of the only songs to have ever hit #1 on the Wahanowin Hit Parade.  In 2008, to the astonishment of Camp Wahanowin, David won the Olympiad MVP Award for his performance in the Staff Olympian Games.  He is currently co-chair of the Harold Nashman Spirit Assembly, executive producer of the Wahanowin Fashion Show, co-producer of Waha-Idol, and the president of the Wahanowin Chess Club.

David is very excited for 2009 and he can’t wait for the BUSES!!!
